As a Certified Tourism Ambassador specializing in Sonoma County, I would like to first ask you to watch this short video:

Hard to believe it’s been 40 years since the American Graffiti movie captured the imagination of an already aging baby boomer generation. Can’t remember most of what I did back in the 70s and can’t today for a completely different set of reasons so I guess we’re even. 🙂

Downtown Petaluma has been energized from last week’s Butter & Egg Days Parade and Sunday Antique faire. Our Downtown Association and their volunteers really rocked and I hear they are just now starting to get back to normal with their “real” lives.

It is now time to rock even harder (and roll) by attending the Crusin’ the Blvd. events, kicked off with drag races (see video) and continuing on with all sorts of special gatherings (see video) culminating with almost 400 classic cars on display Saturday, May 18 (see video) in Downtown Petaluma. Best of all, everybody wins because the downtown businesses meet new customers, the city receives positive press, the tourism business gets another shot in the arm, local families can enjoy themselves right here at home, and the proceeds go to non-profits which help our community.

Please share this video with your pals, your family, and with folks who live in the Bay Area right away so they have plenty of time to plan.

Stay tuned for more important reasons why this event is so good for all of us.

Don’t you just LOVE this town?
